Rainbows in the Park 2024

I was really happy to see the growth of Rainbows in the Park, held in Sussex on Sept 14. This is the second year we’ve hosted it, and there were many fun booths and activities added. Not only did we fly kites, socialize and share snacks like last year, but this time we added a cookie decorating table, a bracelet making, T-shirt printing provided by AX, the Arts and Cultural Centre of Sussex, a musical instrument play space with Nicholas Scott, face painting by Elvira Crystal Creations, and a giant bubble making station! There were so many fun things to try and do. Rainbows in the Park was welcoming for all ages and abilities. Being able to fill my town with rainbows, representation and smiles was such a gratifying heartwarming feeling. Looking forward to next year, hopefully it will grow even bigger!! I am very grateful for groups like Chroma and Saint John Pride for making these events possible for our communities.

Amber Chrysostom, Chroma volunteer

Note from Chroma:
We couldn’t hold events like Rainbows in the Park and many other projects without the help of dedicated and creative volunteers like Amber. A big thank you to all the volunteers who made this event a success!
