2SLGBTQIA+ crew hiked and collected berries at Rockwood Park

Along a path of imposing trees, impressive landscapes and wild cherries, Chroma’s volunteer Dan Simard and a crew of 15 2SLGBTQIA+ community members and allies completed another successful and satisfying hike.

July’s activity brought Chroma and friends to Rockwood Park, doing a medium to low intensity hike of one hour, starting at the bike skills park door and finishing in one of the parking lots.

During the hike, the crew had many fun moments: instructions and tips for hiking from Simard and Mel Burns (a participant that formerly worked at Rockwood Park); wild berry collection breaks, and also beautiful views of the Saint John area from the top of the hill.

Complete families with children attended the activity, and we were delighted to see local, national and international participants from the 2SLGBTQIA+ community and allies.

Our most appreciated gratitude to Dan and this unique moment for the family. Here are some pictures from the adventure.
