As this summer comes to an end, so does my time working with Chroma NB. I started last summer as an intern, helping out with marketing and social media as well as the drop-in space for youth, and was fortunate enough to be kept on after my internship ended.
Over the past year I’ve been able to support fellow community members in legally changing their names and sex markers, getting people in safe, gender-affirming garments, and being a trusted adult for 2SLGBTQIA+ youth at Rainbow Lunch Club. I’ve also helped plan events and represented Chroma at others.

Working with Chroma NB has been my favourite job I’ve had, and posting on our social media spreading the word about resources in this city has inspired me to go back to school. This fall I’ll be attending NBCC for Business Administration Marketing, to hopefully continue promoting organizations that do good work in our community. I’ll miss everyone at Chroma and Rainbow Lunch Club, and hope to see familiar faces around the city and at future events. Goodbye everyone, and thank you.
