Saint John’s 2SLGBTQIA+ community attended the first Fancy Dress Afternoon Tea

With fancy outfits, colorful hairstyles, and smiles, this past Saturday more than 30 members of the 2SLGBTQIA+ community in Saint John met at the Union Club for Chroma’s first Fancy Dress Afternoon Tea.

The event, held at the Union Club, is only one of the many activities that Chroma NB is hosting this June, and was a great kick-off to Pride Month 2022. The tea came together after hearing from so many people that they wanted a social event where they could mingle and network.

The attendees enjoyed nice tea, coffee, and snacks while listening to classic melodies offered by cellist Andie McCouglan. They had the opportunity to connect with old friends and meet new ones.

Our Board President, Alex Ash, attended the event. The tea was also an opportunity to welcome a new member of the Chroma team: Mariah Darling, our new Education Coordinator.
