Last Saturday, 30 members of the 2SLGBTQIA+ community and allies from Saint John and Sussex came together to hike the Sussex Bluffs Trail with Chroma.
As usual, this new adventure was also an opportunity for attendees to meet new friends and strengthen ties in the community in a safe and judgment-free space.

The walk had some entire families present, and had a high turnout of newcomers (2SLGBTQIA+ and allies) from all over the world (Asia, South America and Europe) who currently live in Saint John and Sussex.
Sussex Bluffs Trail never disappoints and participants enjoyed admiring the scenery and taking photos at the two bluffs along the way, which overlook a valley in all its glory.
This time, we doubled our Sussex Bluffs Walk attendance from last year!
At all times, the hikers were very well guided by Dan Simard, our regular hiking expert and volunteer and on this occasion, also by Mel Burns, an enthusiastic assistant to our journeys who’s also very skilled with trails. A special thanks to both for their usual generous contribution.

If you liked this walk, keep an eye out for upcoming Chroma activities. On Tuesday, November 1st, we will have a new edition of our Chroma Rainbow Connections series, hosting an All-Ages Collage Making! workshop, to be held at the Nick Nicolle Community Center. Participants of all ages are welcome and we will provide materials and snacks.
